A Magnificent Mansion

Jarvis Street, once a private street for the rich and powerful, evolved. Today, this magnificent block steeped in Toronto's heritage is the only block of Jarvis that remains with all original homes intact.

Designed by architect and master builder E. J. Lennox (Toronto City Hall and Casa Loma) and built in 1889 by master builder Charles R. Rundle, for fellow builder friend Edward Gallow Esq., then of noted art collector Charles W. Band. The Band collection today forms part of the permanent collection of the Art Gallery of Ontario.
